About HOA Frontgate AI

Built by someone who's answered the phone at 9pm too.

HOA Frontgate AI didn't start as a product idea. It started as a problem sitting on a board president's desk — one that anyone who's served on an HOA board will recognize immediately.

The problem

Boards aren't call centers. But they end up running one.

Every HOA board eventually hits the same wall: residents call about trash pickup, gate codes, clubhouse bookings, and violation letters — and someone on the board ends up fielding it, usually after hours, usually unpaid, usually not their job.

Miss the call, and it becomes a voicemail no one gets to for three days. Answer it, and it's one more evening spent on community admin instead of the things that actually move a community forward.

The role

Serving as HOA Board President

Overseeing a 200+ unit community — governance, compliance, vendor coordination, and yes, a constantly ringing phone.

The background

A day job in GIS and community technology

Years spent building mapping and service-delivery systems for municipal and utility clients — the same kind of "make information actually reach people" problem, at a different scale.

The realization

Most calls don't need a person — they need an answer

Trash schedules, gate codes, booking rules, amenity hours: the majority of resident calls are the same handful of questions, asked over and over.

The build

HOA Frontgate AI

An AI phone answering service trained specifically on a community's own documents and rules — so it sounds like it belongs there, because it does.

What we believe

Technology should make community management lighter, not heavier.

🎯

Built for the real questions

Not a generic chatbot script — trained on your actual governing documents, amenities, and vendor contacts.

🤝

A tool for volunteers, not a replacement

Board members are volunteers with day jobs. Frontgate AI exists to protect their time, not their role.

🔍

Nothing happens off the record

Every call is logged and summarized — full visibility for the board and the management company.
